Nostalgia, anyone? Hit PLAY!
This is the first mention of my precious pennies. My brother Larry told me when he left for basic training to 'be good' and he would send me pennies to save. It was his single promise to me of those pennies that kept me watching the mailbox. They were worth all the gold in the world to me, and you'll see they took on a whole new meaning as these letters unfold.
Meanwhile, Larry is quite bored which he doesn't like one bit. Here are some clips from the movies he saw over the lazy weekend he mentioned. Take a look at the 1960s style of entertainment, it will further help visualize the times he lived in, and illustrate the teenage dreams and silly spirit still alive back then.
Ski Party, a musical comedy.
Kiss Me Stupid, a classic romantic comedy with Dean Martin.
Knight of the Generals, starring Peter O'Toole, a "thriller", with scenes from war, amidst young love.
