My brother's army letters changed over the 18 months he wrote home, both physically and in tone. Some of them were on stationary provided by Fort Rucker. Some had comic strips, with military-related, corny humor. Some were plain white paper. Not only did the letters change, but my brother grew up before our eyes. It was 1967, Fort Rucker Alabama.
Here's one letter - a small dose of laughter from Advanced Training in Alabama to our family home in Kendall Park, New Jersey. Did my brother have too much fun? Bet on it.
